I am a mother, a military spouse and a photographer. I always have a camera on me, and I have been taking pictures since I was a little girl. I have a degree in Psychology and a minor in the visual arts. I have learned to have patience and wait for "the moment" and that is why I am able to find this work so rewarding.
I have the long term goal of being able to encorporate my photography with therapy. I am training in ABA therapy and continuing my education for a MAT in Special Education. I am hoping to offer my services to special needs families, and put their nerves at ease when it comes to getting family photos. Also, I would like to be able to offer Photo Therapy as an extension of the Art Therapy I will be getting licensed to do, after I finish my education.
I truely enjoy capturing the love between man & woman, man & man, woman & woman, parent & child, or best friends. Love holds no boundaries in my mind. What I believe is that love is a beautiful thing and it wouldn't hurt to have more of it in our daily lives. I have professionally photographed all over the country including California, Florida, Rhode Island, Arkansas and Georgia, so it is needless to say, I have met many different types of people, all of which are beautiful.
Also, you may be curious as to what "Phoenix Day" means and the answer is.....whatever you want it to mean. I had a dream that felt like 5 years in the future. I had my own photography company and Phoenix Day Photography was the name. So I figured, being a professional photographer is my dream, so why not let a dream determine the name.
